Established in August of 2023, Arkive Filmworks is the product of years of learning and investment in filmmaking by Owner, Noah Willis. He started out making school video projects in 2015 (with a Sony Cyber-shot camera and Windows Movie Maker😂). Gotta start somewhere! What began as a unique way to hang with friends (and a way to get out of a few boring powerpoint presentations) quickly turned into a creative passion. The very rough edits of The Cletus Show, to the random, slightly more developed and successful episodes of Comedy Cuisine, and most recently, to the eye-pleasing scenes of The Great Tragedy of 1924: these all mark the creative film journey of Noah. Not to mention other private and professional projects done along the way.

Film production can be equated to a landscape puzzle. You have your edge pieces, sky pieces, water and land pieces, and the rest of the inside components that create a compelling image once arranged in the proper order. In a similar way, a film’s video clips, audio, dialogue, soundtrack, sound effects, text/graphics, and color correction are all arranged in such a way that the viewer’s attention is gripped all the way til the final scene fades to black.

Arkive seeks to accomplish this goal with every project through a few essential standards: excellence, efficiency, and exceptional customer service (was a stretch but had to keep the “E” theme going😁).

Excellence

We aim to create professional art. No perfunctory deliverables, no stagnant content, you’re not just watching another YouTube video. We want to turn heads and gain high viewer retention (which is just as important as high viewership). We want you to be proud of the project long after it has served its purpose.

Our Standards

Efficiency

We are always seeking more efficient ways to accomplish tasks and constantly investing in equipment that allows for quick, smooth workflows. You have things to do, places to be. Ain’t nobody got time for a bunch of hex-wrench turning on set. If a step impedes the creative process, we’re going to find a way to improve and/or eliminate this step.

Exceptional Customer Service

We wouldn’t exist without you, the customer. But you’re more than this; you’re a collaborator. We want to hear your ideas and develop them into an effective product we are both proud of. From delivery to retail experience, we know what it means to go the extra mile. And we are going to apply that same effort to each media project.

Why “Arkive Filmworks”?

“I narrowed the ideas down to 2 names: Noah's Arkives and Willis Filmworks. You separate "ives" from Arkives and you'll clearly see the play on words in that first business name idea. I was, in fact, named after the biblical figure. And Filmworks helps to establish what kind of business this is, of course: a film production company. Couldn't get away from Arkives (a genius idea by my former coworker), so I eventually combined the two business names.

According to Merriam Webster, an archive (noun) is a place in which public records or historical materials (such as documents) are preserved. I first think of my visit to the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. in 2014. I saw many old documents that are significant in our nation's history and still hold relevance (a waning relevance, but it is still there). I aim to create content for you that plays a significance in the growth of your business, your online presence, marketing, etc. Then when you stumble upon this video we collaborated on 10+ years ago, you will still watch it fondly and proudly.

The Ark was a seemingly unnecessary vessel that Noah built over the span of 100+ years. Yet he was righteous and faithful, and built that ship precisely how God directed him to. His excellent craftsmanship and dedication allowed him to save his family and two of every kind from the Flood, and be used by God in a massive way to restart the population of the earth. The Ark screams excellence to me. This is what I desire for my company: excellence that brings glory to God.

  • Owner/Producer

Born and raised in Ponca City, OK, Noah has established many lasting relationships, learning from many people to get him where he is today. He most notably is an airman in the U.S. Air Force Reserve (the culmination of a strong work ethic and an eye for detail). In his professional film career, he has worked for Speak Now Film Company (aka Speak Now Productions), and now serves on the marketing team for Cherokee Strip Credit Union.
